9-10-11 My Baby is 2

I swore I was going to "keep it together" this birthday.  Not over-do things so that I can actually keep up with all the traditions I have started.  That kinda didn't go as planned... We were originally going to a wedding in Iowa City on her actual birthday, and last minute plans didn't work out.  So I had an outfit for her big birthday picked out and Mommy and Daddy took her to get some new toys and out to eat!! I had a gift all wrapped and ready for her to open when she woke up.  I wanted 2 balloons to tie it all together for her to see when she rolled over in the morning.

OH and a pink boa... she loved it, and it left feathers all over our house... bonus for me.

And... she loved it! She was really excited about the balloons!

She picked out some mermaids to take on the Train at Greenwood mall!! Loved the train ride, and would Choo-Choo every time the conductor pulled the whistle!!

we went back home and had people over for the Michigan/Notre Dame football game & Charlees birthday cupcakes.  The cupcakes were so darn good... fresh strawberry cupcakes (homemade) with chocolate icing. Ridiculously good.  The kids partied hard, and then passed out on their mommas.  Harvey was asleep on Angie, Berkeley was asleep on Emily, and Charlee was asleep on her momma... I loved it.  It was a fun filled day! Tomorrow we will celebrate Maddy's 18th birthday.

I feel like I've been slacking on the taking pictures end of things... but I did get some taken in the last week or so at hummel park on one of our walks.  Sooooo... Gavin showed me this new app for my IPhone that uses a GPS to track how far you go, how fast you go, how many calories you burn, and then stores it for you to look back at and it keeps a running total of your miles you've ran or walked.  its pretty stinkin fun if you ask me, so in pure Megan-style... I get obsessed and try to use it as much as possible.  The weather was permitting and Charlee was all about it as long as there was ample food, drink, suckers, and Bubble Guppies on the IPhone.  She was shockingly an amazing workout buddy!! She let me push her all the way to Hummel and back.  That is 7.5 miles from our house! Its so fun too.  If I'm lucky I can time it around a possible nap and I'm good to go as long as its not too hot, then I get all worried she is sweating to death and that is no way to nap.  Anyways, its the Nike app, you should get it.  We don't always go that long, we have gone for short walks too.  She still is excited when I ask her if she wants to go on a walk... so for now I'm still obsessed.  Nina and Papaw have joined me on some walks... they leave their house and we leave ours and meet about half way and then we all walk back to Nina's.  I love that all these places we go are on the trails.  Plainfield trails rock!!!

Miss Ella couldn't be cuter, She was just having a good' ol time letting me snap pictures of her.  I forgot how easy little ones are to photograph.  She just smiled and looked cute like it was her job.  She is good at her job... look at her...

Audrey is busy wee one who is hard  to snap a picture of... especially with my camera that needed to adjust to every ray of sun that evening before finally taking the shot... slightly annoying because I need to snap pictures of moving objects if I'm going to get any good ones d*mn It!!

Sneak Peaks: Someone is turning 2

Time really does fly when your having a blast with your baby, and then you realize in a few days she will be 2. Seriously, what happened, did I soak it all in, am I soaking enough in now, will I be sad every year like this? I truly have loved every single day and stage and temper tantrum she has blessed me with.  I don't ever want this stuff to end.  I don't think I could take enough pictures (Ive tried) or videos... I want more so I can somehow go straight back to each moment and re-live it as many times as I want without a single thing fading. I want to remember the smell and how she stretched and sucked on her passy.  I am sad/happy/proud all at once... trust me its possible, ask Gavin! Haha.
