Super Bowl

Danielle and Charlee had a pomegranate for a snack.  Charlee liked getting the seeds out... she wasn't a huge fan even if I tried telling her they tasted like little grapes.

Still have the crazy "new" hair growing in.  Pure awesomeness if you ask me.
This is her new pose for the camera.

Potty training has begun.  We stayed in for a week - good thing it was like 30 degrees outside and we weren't missing anything.  She was totally bottomless the first few days then we put jammies back on for the rest of the week.  Then we eventually worked in panties and pants when I knew she could pull them down in time.  She was a sucker for the stickers.  Every time she peed or pooed we would add stickers to her little chair that was in the living room for the first 3 days.. gross i know, but it was just close and she knew where it was... then it moved into the bathroom.  She did great and only uses pull-ups at night. Actually she hated the pull-ups so she just fell asleep with her panties on and I would switch her to a diaper while she was asleep.  After 2 weeks of waking up dry, we just left the panties. She hasn't had an accident yet!! its so nice to have a potty trained little one.  It did make me sad and I didn't expect it to but I guess because she is getting so big it makes me want to hold on to everything that makes her little.
Not to worry - we still have a paci!!!

How cute is her booty with panties on? I just want to squeeze it all the time. Its a big booty too!! Love it.

We went downtown to the Super Bowl Festivities with Danielle and met Amber and Morgan at Bucas for some lunch and then went to the "big numbers" to take some pictures.
And I asked Charlee if she needed to Pee and she said yes... It was our first time out of the house and in a restaurant so she waited for me to put 10 layers of toilet paper down and then made her hold on to me... and it was a success!! She is a pro now.  I didn't know if I should bring a seat and Lysol wipes to put in a baggie for the diaper bag or the disposable toilet covers... and after all the careful consideration of options I didn't bring anything (I'm blaming it on working the night before and getting 3 1/2 hrs of sleep before picking her up to go downtown) - it worked out I guess!! Mommy failure.
It was wear your favorite team day!! So of course we supported our Hoosiers!!

Charlee loved the "big numbers"  and it was pretty warm out that day so it was very enjoyable for the kids to run and play at the monument.

I love the bird in the picture above.  It turned out better than I thought.

We went to the Choc. Shoppe for fondue and it was horrible - I'm sure ill never live that one down, It was so good 4 years ago when we went for valentines day after Circ De Sole and it was pretty much warmed up choc milk with fruit to dip. Was not what I remembered. Disappointing.
I'm glad we went and have some pictures from when Indy rocked out the Super Bowl festivities!! Gavin didn't even go...

Disney On Ice "Dare To Dream"

Wow... I'm falling behind with blogs....

We went to Disney On Ice. Jan 23rd- She loved it, It was perfect because she watches Princess and the Frog and Tangled weekly.  She knows all the songs and can even bust out some moves to go along with the songs just like they do in the movie.  Its quite awesome! We didn't want to wear our huge puffy slightly itchy dress, so we chose the one that is more like a night gown, but it was good because it wasn't all fluffy-bunchy when we were eating or got in her way while she was up and down in her seat.   Tiana was good, Cinderella was good- Charlee just hasn't seen Cinderella that many times so it didn't keep her interest as much as Tiana. Then there was a small break and we got some Dip-N-Dots that were so good... I tried to talk her into Banana Split - but she wanted rainbow that I'm sure was gross, but she loved it. Don't worry I got banana split for Daddy and I! I want some right now... dang it.  And the fun part was she wanted me to hold her in her slippery dress and hold 2 heaping bowls of dip-n-dots and go up stairs.... I was exhausted from that 15 min intermission.  Then Cinderella had to wrap up and then it was time for "Punzel" - it was my favorite! They did an awesome Circ de soleil-ish act with Punzels hair and they were swinging all over the place... it was the best part... well no, the lantern part was so cute too.  Then at the end all the Princess' came out in their Wedding attire... Charlee loved this part because she named every princess that came out.  It was so cute. I was getting teared up every time she would get so excited.  The whole show was maybe 25 minutes too long for her, but we made it! I would do it again.

She wanted to take her Punzel doll... how cute.
She got a Tiana spin/light up toy... that literally lasted that night only! No joke.
And a Punzel necklace!!

She let me straighten her hair like Punzels

Oh she loved Mickey and Minnie when they came out in between each set too.

We met Brett and Gabbie at Outback after and it was Yummie Yummie, then we went to our house to let the girls play!! Very fun night.

Gymnastics is back!

Gymnastics is back! She LOVES going.  She can follow all the instructions, she could do all the stations if she wanted, but that's the thing... she is stubborn now and doesn't want to do her forward roll or hand stand where you walk your feet up the wall.  Its kinda funny because we are still out there with her and she will just tell us NO, not right now.  Then we will tell her she wont get to go to the PIT or get her stamps if she doesn't try it once, and then she will try it once and that's it.  She is a stinker. I hope it goes well when we move her up.

She gets so excited to go to gymnastics she would do just about anything in order to go to her "den-ass-tics" class.  She is pretty coordinated too, I'm kinda impressed. But I, for one, keep it to myself when we are at class.  Good lord every mother in the class has to tell everyone their life story and why their child is doing what they are doing.  Its kinda awesome to talk about after class! We might miss that when we move her up. Bummer- I wont get to hear how the mom of the 18 mo old has no idea why her son wont do anything in class because he does all this stuff at home.  Or that she cant get in the PIT because she has no cartilage left in either knee, had all kinds of surgeries, noting helped. I secretly love it.  I love watching parents parent their children too.  I love when the dad brings a little one solo... poor kid gets tossed around like a sac of potatoes. We pretty much people watch in class... its quite fun.
Gavin is surprisingly very good with Charlee, he will demonstrate the forward roll and handstand so she knows how to do it (I love watching him demonstrate on the kid equipment).  He can always talk her into trying stuff.  He has more patience than I do sometimes, and he never gets stressed out if she is being naughty which I am SO guilty of.  Hes pretty awesome like that.

love my little gymnast.

Playin' in January

Brandy and I took our littles to visit Amber and Morgan.  We got all the girls together for a play date that was much needed after the holidays.  It was very fun, the girls got along for the most part and snacked and played like it was their JOB.
Morgan is showing Denali her "violet bear"
Hi big girl Denali bug.

We had lost our Little Miss Muffins for about 3 days. Gavin searched high and low and then it was my turn and there are not many occasions that I look for something and don't find it.  I mean Ariel's lost blue slipper... oh yeah it was in the play microwave.. boom, A paci at 3 am for my girl.. I stashed one in the silverware drawer, Gavin's wallet for the 17th time this month... on the counter.  (he, and most males I'm assuming, is the WORST at finding something.  I wont even say finding is the correct term.. more like locating.
Me: Can you go get her shoes in the closet.
Gav: I cant find them.
Me: They are in her closet
Gav: Still... you know how I look for things...
Me: never mind

I'm starting to think its all an act so he doesn't have to do anything.  If he causes me to flip out because I cant wrap my brain around how he can pick up the house and not remember where he put his own wallet, or he cant find her favorite Tiana but he knows every detail to every basketball game he has ever played.  It ends up in his favor... i get annoyed and don't ask him to look or find anything. He wins.
I'm not letting him off that easy.
Anyways these little Miss Muffins were gone, we even called all the Grandparents house looking for them.  We lost Plum, and Pumpkin...
And a few days later I was REALLY cleaning the play room, not fake cleaning where you just put all the crap in a bin and shove stuff into drawers.  I was putting the doll house pieces back in the doll house and SURPRISE... Charlee must have shoved them in the house and closed the doors.  I yelled for her to come see what I found.  She was so happy she had her babies back...

Hummel Park in January!! Sweet. We got bundled before work one weekend and went to play, she loved it and as always didn't want to leave.

YES... Gymnastics is back!! We got her back in it. And it didn't take long before she was right back in the swing of things.
They have a new room this year "the Nemo room" It had everything but the "PIT" which I think Gavin was most disappointed with.  But they get to go out to the Big Pit at the end of class.

The teacher told us we can finish out the 5 week session and then move her up to the 2-3 year-olds because she is ready to move up.  This makes me nervous, she will be out there all by herself and mommy and daddy will have to watch from the waiting room.  I'm sure she will be fine, but I'm not going to be.
