Stir-Crazy February

We were getting pretty confident with gymnastics and tonight she was being a little diva.  She didn't really want us to help her do anything.  She wanted to run and get the stray ball she spotted in the corner... we know how obsessed she gets with balls!! So once she was eyeing that yellow ball, it was kinda over for gymnastics.  She also wanted to slide into the foam pit right away even though it was "hidden by some mats" so we barely made it through the stretches at the beginning.  I did take my camera AGAIN, and I will continue as long as I feel like it.  Gavin said "Your taking that again?" as I grabbed it on the way in.  I don't care if I'm the only mom taking pictures.  I'm sure everyone knows Charlee is our 1st so we might as well give them something to laugh about.  Maybe someday we will chuckle at the new parents with their only child bringing their "mommy camera" and the video camera to the 3rd and 4th class...  and tripping over their own feet trying to get a picture of every move she makes.  I think I will be sad if I'm not still this excited in 2 years or 4 years.  I hope I continue to amaze myself at the amount of pictures I can get in a 30 min class.  My personal best is kinda sick... Gavin cant stand that I don't go through them right away and delete the not so great ones.  The truth is I cant bring myself to delete any... so because of this my card is always full too.  This is also a Gavin favorite.  He just gives me this look like he is just so disappointed in me... but never says anything, so then I start dying laughing begging him to just give me a min to delete some pictures... he just shakes his head.  Love those moments.

Here are some of my 1st-time-mommy-takin-pics-at-every-class pictures:
This was new: She was diggin it.

Oh how could I forget... She was like "what? your puttin me in time-out?"  She thought she couldn't get up.  Poor baby, she was confused a little.
Man I just want to Windex the mirror!
Our friend Gabbie told us about a Kindermusik class at the Aquatic Center, we could try the class for free to see if it was something we would be interested in.  It was a great class but Charlee probably would have been more entertained in the next age group up.  She still danced, played, and ran around wearing her little self out.  Daddy came to class too.
Alex was pretty chill the whole class.

This was her standing in the middle of the class just swingin her arms like no big deal.  Totally not what everyone else was doing.  She was happy so momma was happy.

Gaeton brought Jenny and Gaston too!! He rocked out the class... he was too cool for this baby stuff.

We were supposed to be swaying all sweet and calm-like... but she liked jumping and bouncing.
Aww... God bless my husband... he actually picks up the camera without being prompted now... what a good Daddy.  Plus everyone knows I'm still alive!
Amber and Morgan joined us for a play-date at Jump -n- Play!
Charlee started out shy, not sure what this place was all about.  didn't know if it could be true... a place she could really jump everywhere and not get hurt or yelled at to be careful (I still told her to be careful, It just comes out... I cant help it) Morgie, on the other hand was flying around like she had been there before.  Charlee calls her Morgie! It was cute, she didn't know where Morgan was at one point and was shruggin her shoulders raisin her arms sayin "I-o-know (I don't know) Morgie" And we still aren't comfortable with other babies wanting to hang out with me.  Morgan wanted to see the pictures on the camera and Charlee would otherwise care less about what I was doing, but when Morgan came close... she just looked at us both and said "No Mommy" and "No Morgie" Diva.  She wont ever be okay with a little brother or sister... unless she is like 10 when they get here.

These mini slides were okay for a while... but she had her eye on the big ones and I had to go down with her... she wasn't taking no for an answer.  So I almost tore my ACL in the process, but we went down these slides that were so big... the big kid slides.  I had to carry her through the obstacles and up the make-shift ladders... and fly down these slides that actually "took my stomach" like a roller coaster so I know she had to feel it.  I thought for sure after the first time down she was going to be terrified of slides for the rest of her life, I was almost scared to look down at her little face... because half way down I realized I'm the worst mother for taking her down this... and after we were laying there flat on our backs I looked at her and she couldn't be happier.  "Moe Slide" "Tank u Mommy" She was so pleased.  I didn't really want to do it again but don't worry we only had to go down about 10 more times... I spotted Amber and Morgan having a chill-time still in the little part and wished I never let her go down the big slides because now I'm pitting-out my shirt and tearing my ACL hauling 25lbs up and down, in and out, under and over the blow-up obstacle course for a 5 second slide.  Amber strolled by with Morgan and said something like "Your going to be exhausted"
-Perfect!

MiMi & Papaw's

This is the "new thing" to do at MiMi and Papaws house.  First we run back and fourth from the garage door into the kitchen saying Ready, Set, Goooooo...
Then the babies discovered they have a huge tub they were determined to get in.  MiMi got some bubbles...
Look how advanced they are with reading...

We turned the jets on.... the bubbles went out of control.

Gaeton styled his hair like Papaw.

I'm betting we have to get in the bath now every time we visit.  We'll see.
Sorry this is short... I have a needy baby today.  I have lots to update and I don't think I'm going to get a chance until I go to work tonight.  We just moved to the living room from our room to have some fries and ketchup (mostly ketchup) but if she wants to eat that then fine.  She has been not feeling so great so we have been laying in bed watching all her fav shows over and over.  She just laid on me... pitiful baby! Gavin text me after I was freaking out about working this weekend and said "Just enjoy her being needy, she is always miss independent" So I am.  I fed her pancakes and yogurt earlier... Gatorade was a hit thankfully.  Alright have to go... she is "All Dee" with ketchup.

ICE Storm 2011

Okay this week has been awesome.  Everyone else is probably over it, but I'm loving it.  I didn't work Sunday night and I didn't have to go back to work until Fri/Sat so I have been continuing my craftiness throughout the house.  So I ran to walmart Mon when Gavin got home to stock up on some staples... bad idea, everyone was doing that.  I love Walmart.  I think if you took the happiest person on their best day and told them to go to walmart for everything... they would leave pissed about something.  I'm going to move on because I feel really bad about the things I want to say right now.  They are not nice. Movin on...
By the end of "Chilly Night" it was icing pretty bad so we headed home early.  Gavin did a happy dance around 8:30 after his school was closed.  We opened some wine... had our phones charging in prep for losing power... lots of candles... made dip, pasta salads, guac... SET!! We are ready for this:
And this: 1 inch of ice
 and this:
the ice came from the left!! haha
So what is a momma, pappa, and baby duck to do in an ICE wonderland? Go to Flap Jacks! Its only right down the road and we thought we could make it.  We skated there.... in our car.  Charlee loves to re-arrange the sugar and creamers to her liking.
 She is REALLY hungry...

So I bought some Chalkboard paint and I'm kinda going nuts with it.  I started small and then ended with a couple walls and a chair painted.  Its addicting.  If you google Chalkboard paint designs... craziness I tell you. Crazy stuff and I just couldn't decide.  Gavin would have flipped if I painted the whole bathroom like I wanted.
So the soap dispenser, and potty chair were my Guinea pigs.
Charlee couldn't even let me get a picture of her new chalkboard in her play room before she was going to town on it.  She doesn't let me do much without being nosey.  She needs to know what is going on at all times.
 More:
Sad part is tea isn't really in the last one, just thought it looked visibly appealing and sweet-n-low just didn't flow right.
Charlee has been testin us this week.  She is teething AGAIN... poor girl has been doing this since two months.  Enough already.  Point mommy- got her to drink her vit D milk out of a cup (this has been brutal, she just wants the juice box version of milk that is choc or straw and its low fat milk) I put a little choc in it but its Vit D so we are golden... Thank the Lord.
Charlee (enter stage left): Dance off with Mickey!!
Charlee your arms are moving so fast they aren't in the picture. Yeah, she wanted to wear her crocks... that are too little. She can do whatever she wants its a snow week at the Groningers.  I think it was an unspoken rule to not get out of jammies all week.
Oh yeah we made cookies too!!
Don't worry the eggs aren't in there yet!
This is also a new thing... She will lay on the cat.  and when Lilly senses she is about to get cuddly and splits, Charlee starts crying for her... Vicious cycle. But hilarious no doubt.
We think she is listening to her purr... but as you can see Lilly isn't digging it.
One of my walls that got painted... I wanted a new calendar. I'm a big fan. This was 3 coats and works lovely.
Gavin ended up getting canceled Tues-Thurs (so far) and I'm bettin they go tomorrow, Ice has been melting like crazy.  You can hear chunks breaking off the roof and sliding down the shingles... very disturbing.  Papaw came over several times (4 I think) to put salt on the driveway and there is no walking to our front door... sorry visitors you must skate to see us!  We went to lunch and a movie yesterday to see Green Hornet (eh, it was eh). One of few dates we have had. Nina watched Charlee.  Then I went to Nina's and had a pedi complements of Mackenzie. Then Madison and I enjoyed sushi... everyone else HATED it, and kept telling us how sick it was.  Close-minded!! Thank Gosh for Madison.  Then today we went to BW3's with Gaston, Jenny, and Gaeton... don't worry I still had Jammie's on.  And Gavin is yelling at me as we speak to wrap it up because the car is started and packed ready for "Buzz's Pizza Night" so before he blows a gasket....
