Carving Pumpkins

Let me start by saying.... wow, its a busy time of year and I have been HORRID about keeping up to date on my blogs! I'm working on it though.  Shutterfly had priority of spare time for a while, needed to get some gifts taken care of...

Carving Pumpkins
Gavin never really got into the traditions until we had little buckets, but I think he has grown to like them... I think? So we picked our pumpkins out, now its time to carve them...

Notice her "I got electrocuted" hair that is growing in all over - its like 2 inches of spike... yeah, I'm not sure what is going on. But I love it! Is this what her hair would look like if she didn't have any when she was born?
Hilarious...
Favorite face picture:
She truly is grossed out over the insides of the pumpkin.  She wasn't touching any part of it.

The spike.... seriously is out of control on this day.... wow

Daddy's pumpkin is Batman (again) and I'm pretty sure he wont ever get sick of it... one of these years hopefully... Mommy's pumpkin is a witch stirring a cauldron, and Charlee's pumpkin is M-I-C-K-E-Y
M-O-U-S-E

This was before our 1st Mommy & Me play date!! She didn't want to smile....

Then I set up the timer to take some pics...like 10-15 in a row and then she was into it!!

We had several Mommas and babies come play and make ghost and witch footprints for keepsakes!! It was a good time and I think its going to "stick" as something we try to do every month.  Charlee didn't really want to get her foot painted... until Brandy won her over and gave her a sucker! Brandy gets her every time!! :)

Minnie @ Zoo Boo

We went to Zoo Boo for the first time.  It was great weather so why not? I think they should have handed out more candy... but for the most part it was alright.  It was nice that the animals were more active, but every time I've been to the Zoo its during the week when most people are working so I really didn't like the crowd.  Ha... I'm re-reading this and from the sound of it I basically didn't like it! Seriously...It was okay, I'm not sure I would spend the money again, but ya never know.  Maybe we will be members some day... and now that Gavin has the "new school schedule" we can go during the week next year.  I'm sad we didn't get to the Children's Museum for the "lights on" version of the haunted house.... for sure next year!!

This was the whole gang...
We waited for the seal show and she had front row seats... but wasn't interested, and actually asked to "go see other things." So we moved on like Minnie wanted.

moved on to the Pumpkin bowling.  She actually rocked it out!!

Aww... we met up with everyone after the seal show in the Oceans.  This picture was Aunt Jenny's idea because we have one just like it when they were little. I'll try to find it and upload it so we all can be sad at how big our babies are.
The maze was the highlight of the trip.  Charlee would have stayed here all day, thank the lord Gaeton wanted to move on because sister was doing whatever Gaeton was doing.

Sorry babe, but you look super cheesy in this pic... like you are INlove with all the animals and just happy to be at the Zoo with your family, not caring about all the football your missing... bhahaha
1 of 4 stations to get 2 pieces of candy. Thanks, it was gone before we left the Zoo.

We went home and had Brett Gabbie and Alex over.  Poor Alex broke her leg playing at our house which makes me feel horrible. And that my daughter was the one who coaxed Alex into jumping off the ottoman.  Apparently I let Charlee do things she shouldn't... and poor baby Alex now has a pink cast up to her thigh. Sorry Alex - Love Charlee

Punkin Pickin

Anderson Orchard
We went to the pumpkin patch at Anderson Orchard to pick us some punkins. Charlee kept trying to lift all of them, and then wanted help lifting them.  We did get her to settle on a cute one, but really she would have been fine climbing all over them.  She spotted the park the second we drove in so delaying that any longer wasn't happening.  I got us some apple cider slushies and Carmel apples while Daddy took her to the park.  I was good with the park because its far away from the bees... I hate bees and because of my hatred, Gavin likes to act like he loves them. He all of a sudden is a bee-lover, hes really annoying because he draws so much attention to the fact that they don't bother him, it ends up bothering me.  And I'm positive that is his goal.

Thanks Daddy for taking the pics!! You are getting so good at taking them.  I'm impressed because it used to be you get what you get I'm just clicking at the general area... not anymore! I think he tries to take better pictures than me now! I'm loving it.

Okay I went nuts on the swing pictures.... but seriously she was cracking herself up and every picture was good.

Worst Mommy Moment

Worst Mommy feeling ever:

This was Charlee's Sleep Study that we did so we would have "evidence" of her needing her tonsils and adenoids out.  Let me back up... Charlee is a snorer! I happened to mention it at her 2 year check up and our Dr wanted to have her go to the ENT because her tonsils are "generous" (large and in charge).  So we set up the visit and he was ready to schedule surgery just by looking at her tonsils and me witnessing her snoring.  NO WAY.  So he then said we could do a sleep study to get some evidence of her snoring being an issue.  So this is us at the sleep study:
For the record... we do sleep studies at work on babies, and this is not what I was picturing, this is not what we do.  So any moms out there that are thinking they need to do this.... no, unless your child is not breathing at night, or has major issues I would never do this again. I think surgery would have been less invasive. Okay, that was a slight joke, but not really...
I was okay with the first 15 leads... but when we started putting 25 on her scalp... I started questioning the poor guy.  He just kept saying "this IS what the Dr ordered, and yes, this IS standard for everyone"... Long story short... they probably hated me! This is excessive... I was so mad, I called Gavin and he tried to be the supportive, fix-the-problem-for-me husband and told me to just leave and take it off her. I was already thinking it until the RT just casually mentioned insurance wouldn't pay if we walked out.... ****, ****, ****!! followed by crying.... from me and Charlee!

This was before the **** hit the fan:
(notice nothing in her nose...)
Obviously I didn't get anymore pictures of our night from "you know where"... She finally ripped everything out of her nose for the 4th time and I begged them to let her fall asleep and then try to put the stuff back... so that's what we did... she woke up 3 or 4 times crying trying to rip everything off.... I have a pic of her asleep that I sent to Gavin, but then I deleted it because it just made me want to cry, and she loves to look through pictures on my phone so I didn't want her to come across it and have flash backs of the worst night ever!!
Lesson learned: try not to torture your child unless its absolutely necessary!

Chad, Jen, and the girls were at Shannon's so when they woke us up at 5:30 to leave, and that it was over we went straight to Shannon's to hang out.  I might have gotten 45 minutes of sleep! And it was when I finally slept in bed with her (like they told me not to do)... at that point they probably knew they would have lost an eye or some teeth if they would have came in to tell me to get out of bed.

So my baby was tired and took a nap with the help of Aunt Jen... and the Scoobie sticker!
Aww.. love them!

Kids in the bath:
Charlee loved Ella...

Pumpkin baking:
Danielle came over to cook with us and we were on a mission to make some pumpkin stuff!!
Helper Charlee!!

obviously she doesn't like pumpkin!

And how rude of me... this is the only pic of Danielle we got!! Her cutting apples for our apple/pumpkin cupcakes!
Apple pumpkin cupcakes with Butter cream apple cider icing... yum.
Heaven: Pumpkin choc chip brownies.

P.S. Charlees results came back fine.... thank the lord. I still feel like trash for putting her through that.
